Hi Linda… I would recommend employers review their hiring process from the candidate perspective (steps & tasks) to see what efficiencies can be gained. Have a “secret shopper” approach, ask someone to apply and request feedback on the process (or apply for a job to see what really happens). 🙂

I see a theme with what you’re saying, Sean, and what Steven said re: folks going directly to company websites to look for job openings. People don’t want to work just anywhere. They want to work in places that they value and they know’ll they’ll be valued.
